We are thrilled to announce the creation of the Hollymead Hammerheads Senior Scholarship!

As a team, we've always believed that swimming is about so much more than times and ribbons. It's about building character, forming lifelong friendships, learning perseverance, encouraging teammates, and becoming part of a community that feels like family. 

This scholarship was created to recognize our graduating senior swimmers and the lasting impact they have made on the Hammerheads. Even more exciting, this is just the beginning! We hope to make this scholarship an annual tradition, allowing us to celebrate our seniors for years to come. 

To all of our graduating seniors: thank you for your dedication, leadership, and the example you've set for our younger swimmers. You have helped build the legacy of the Hollymead Hammerheads, and we are incredibly proud of each of you. We look forward to celebrating our scholarship recipient and wish all of our seniors the very best as they begin their next adventure.

The Award

The Hollymead Hammerheads Senior Scholarship is a $1,000 one-time award presented to a graduating high school senior on the Hollymead Swim Team. The scholarship funds are intended to help support the recipient’s next chapter, whether that means heading to college, trade school, or another post-secondary path.

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

• Must be a graduating high school senior.
• Must be a registered, active member of the Hollymead Hammerheads swim team for the current season.

How to Apply

Applying is simple! We want to hear about your journey with the Hammerheads and how being a part of this team has shaped you.

1. Complete the Application: Fill out our online application form by clicking this link.
2. Write a Brief Essay: Within the application form, you will be asked to provide a short essay response reflecting on your time as a Hammerhead.
3. Submit on Time: All applications must be submitted by July 15 at 5:00pm

How the Winner is Chosen

To ensure absolute fairness, the selection process is completely unbiased:

• Anonymous Review: All personal identifying information (names, specific schools, etc.) will be removed from the applications before they are reviewed.
• Board Vote: The Hollymead Swim Team Board will review the anonymous essays and applications together, evaluating them based on the spirit of leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication to the team.
• The Vote: The recipient will be chosen via a majority board vote.
