CITY swim meet recap:
Congratulations to 13 -14-year-old swimmer, Chase Easton, for setting a new team record in the 50 Freestyle – 25.30. Chase broke Teddy Cross’s record of 25.82 set in 2017.
Congratulations to our 13.14 boys 200 Free Relay of Ryan Fix, Jack Hansen, Linus Malone, and Chase Easton setting a new record of 1:52.83, breaking the previous record of 1:54.34 set by James McDonald, Alex Tan, John Hornsby, and Ahmed Zaatar.
Thanks to Charlotte Lee for stepping up to swim at the end of the meet and swimming with the 15.18-year-old girls relay. We are all appreciative of her willingness to do this.
Next on to our first home meet of the season – vs Key West this Wednesday June 29.
Please make sure you sign up or decline your swimmer by Friday before each meet and while you are doing that, please sign up for your volunteer job.
General information:
Lost and found items at the pool will be taken to Goodwill next Thursday, so please go through it before then.
Hollymead silicone caps will be for sale for $10.00 cash at the swim meet at the concession stand.

Attached you will find lineups for this meet. Relays will be sent out on Wednesday and like always are subject to change. This meet format will be 6 and under free relay, all medley relays and then normal order of events and end in long free (yes there will be 50 free for 8 and under swimmers).
Arrive – Please have your swimmer on deck no later than 4:15pm. Plan to get there early as parking may be difficult, see below.
Check in – 10 and under swimmers please check in with Coach Kate and 11 and older swimmers please check in with Coach Lauren. Parent questions about your swimmer – please see Coach Maddie. Parent Volunteers please check in with Stacey Fuller.
Theme – Hawaiian
What to bring – swimsuit, cap, goggles (both tinted during sunny swims and clear for night swims), towels, snacks and drinks, camping chairs, cash for concessions, maybe umbrellas/raincoats and a sharpie.
What to expect – Coaches and teammates and visiting teams are always on the lookout for the best sportsmanship at all times. Cheer for your teammates as well as visiting swimmers. Quick note, for all races (but backstroke) please have your swimmer stay in the water until after the next heat has left the blocks, this is a great time to high five the swimmers in the lanes next to you.
Be prepared – please have your swimmer’s event # and race and H and L written on their hand before they arrive to the meet. Digital heat sheets will be sent out on Wednesday.
Concessions (Chick-Fil-A, pizza, burgers, and Kona Ice!)
This year we are back to selling concessions! We’re excited to be offering regular concessions including water, Gatorade, soda, chips. In addition, we will have Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, pizza slices, and burgers from Firefly! Please know that concessions are cash only. Oh, and last but not least, Kona Ice will have snow cones in the parking lot!
Parking
First, please note - DO not park in the adjacent town home community of Somer Chase, you will likely be towed. Second, there is additional parking on Hollymead Drive, on the POOL SIDE ONLY, but not past the entrance to the pool. Third, we also have overflow parking in the Peace Lutheran Church lot, on the corner of 29 and Hollymead Drive. We are leaving our parking lot open to the visiting team.
