    Information Monday July 25

    Good afternoon everyone!

Quick recap of HM vs FCC meet- our last dual meet was a win! Congratulations to all swimmers for amazing swims as well as our final home meet with a win. What a way to send our senior swimmers off.

Congratulations to our 15.18 girls that achieved a new team record in the 200 Free Relay- Cayden Fix, Cambria Jones, Emily Zhu, Alex Fuller swam a time of 1:59.06. The previous record was set in 2007 by Jessica Oliver, Emma Spellman, Liz Barclay, and Laura Gomez.

Please refer to www.jsl.org for all the meet results and final scores.

    Now on to champs!

Attached you will find entries for our champs meet. If your swimmer was able to attend champs and now not able to attend, which I hope is not the case, please do send me an email as soon as possible as I need to inform JSL and hopefully they can find another swimmer to take their spot.

Arrival times will be sent out on Wednesday. Please DO NOT use the warmup times that are set on the JSL website - if you use these times YOUR SWIMMER(s) will be LATE and possibly not allowed on the pool deck to warm up as they won't have their armband.

A few pertinent pieces of information that JSL has asked us to share:

    1. There will be road closures in and around McCormick and Alderman, so plan ahead as these are main roads to the AFC.

    2. Our tent is the first tent off at the AFC. You may do a quick drop and go, and then find a place to park based on approved parking spaces - refer to website. Remember parking on Friday may be tricky.

    3. In case of lightening, everyone is asked to clear our tent and head to the gym at the AFC, no coolers allowed.

    4. No food or drinks (other then water) allowed on the pool deck, so leave the gatorade at the tent. There will be food trucks near our tent - plan to bring cash if you want to purchase food from them. Coolers, snacks, beverages  and chairs are advised at our tent. Games and blankets may be helpful as well.

    5. There is a warmup warm down pool for the 9 and older swimmers. A coach must be present and swimmers may not play in that pool.

    7. Appropriate swimwear is required - no tech suits for swimmers 12 and under, no tie back suits, only 1 piece suits, so no shirts,  only HM team caps, or plan colored caps (preferably red or black).

    8. No body paint or tattoos, only sharpies on the body - keep it minimal and fun.

    9. There will be touch pads at the finish end for all races, we will be working with swimmers to learn to hit the touchpads firmly this week.

    10. Coaches and team leaders have been assigned to walk all 10 and unders to clerk and off of the pool deck after their races. Parents are not allowed on deck or at clerk unless volunteering.

Have fun, be safe and let's show JSL the best sportsmanship ever at Champs this year.

Please refer to the JSL champs website for all information related to champs and refer back to it often in case of changes. Please note there is a link to their twitter account, which will be very helpful to know which races are getting called to clerk as well as youtube link for friends and family to watch.
