Hello Hammerheads,

We have had a great start to our season….and our first meet is right around the corner!

Volunteering

I want to thank each and every one of you who have signed up volunteered, some families covering multiple positions, which will allow for a successful first home meet. If you have questions about your volunteer position or the meet, please reach out to your mentor family (if you have one) or me. I am traveling this week, but will try to check email and respond. Brook Robinson will be handling volunteer check in at the meet this week. I am attaching a picture of both of us (I am on the right in white, Brook is on the left in blue) so new families know who to look for.

We still need

Greeter before meet starts
Two first half table assistants
Two second half timers

Please email me ASAP if you are willing and able to fill one of these positions.

Declaring for the Meets

Our deadline for declaring for meets is 12pm on the Friday before the meet. PLEASE declare your children (and accurately) so our coaches can create the meet. You can go ahead and declare your swimmers now for all meets if that makes things easier for you.

HMH Gear

We have shirts, caps, and magnets will be available for purchase at meets.

Picture Day

Team picture day will be THIS THURSDAY, June 12 at Fun Day at 930sm. Please wear red and black.

Stroke Clinic

Stroke Clinics will be on Saturday mornings. You must register by the Friday before at 11am so we can plan coaching staff accordingly. Each swimmer must bring $5 cash per swimmer per session they attend. This is a great way to focus on skills for a specific stroke each week.

Afternoon Practice Requests

Please submit any practice time requests to Coach Helen by 11am on the Friday before. She will do her best to accommodate.

Reminders

There is a gap between swim practice and the pool’s official opening. All members must leave the pool deck and then sign in with the guards once the pool opens. If you are not a pool member, please plan to leave promptly after practice.

Please help keep the pool deck clean during practice and leave the area tidy when you go. The guards have limited time to prepare the pool for opening.

The pool is not open for use during swim practice. Siblings and other family members may not swim. The baby pool is off-limits at this time.
