Hammerheads Update: Meet Declarations, Volunteering & Stroke Clinic
Hello Hammerheads!
What a fantastic first official week of the season! The pool deck has been full of energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of Hammerhead spirit. It's been wonderful seeing our swimmers back in the water and working hard.
Believe it or not, our first meet is right around the corner! As we prepare for the start of our competitive season, you'll be receiving more frequent emails from us. Please take a few moments to read them carefully, as they'll contain important information to help your family be ready for meet day.
Meet Attendance & Volunteering
Please log in to declare your swimmer(s) and sign up to volunteer for our first meet of the season against Forest Lakes on Wednesday June 10.
To declare your swimmer and select a volunteer position:
- Visit hollymeadhammerheads.swimtopia.com
- Click Events & Swim Meets
- Select Meet Entry
- Indicate whether your swimmer will be attending the meet
- Return to Events & Swim Meets
- Sign up for your volunteer position
Important: This process must be completed by 12:00 PM on the Friday before each meet. If your swimmer is not declared by the deadline, we will assume they will not be attending.
We ask that each swimmer have a parent volunteer for at least one position at each meet. There are still several volunteer spots available, and we appreciate everyone helping make our meets run smoothly.
If you have questions about volunteering, please reach out to your Team Mentor or me.
While we understand emergencies happen, please make every effort to attend meets for which you have declared your swimmer. If an unexpected situation arises, please notify both Coach Helen ([email protected]) and me ([email protected]) as soon as possible.
Stroke Clinic This Saturday
Our first optional Stroke Clinic of the season is this Saturday! Important Reminders
- Clinic Times • 8:30-9:30 AM: 11 & Under Swimmers and 9:30-10:30 AM: 12 & Over Swimmers
- RSVP is required by Friday at 12:00 PM (sign up the same way you declare for meets)
- This week's featured stroke is Freestyle
- Please bring $5 cash per swimmer, which will be collected at check-in
Stroke Clinics are a great opportunity for swimmers to receive focused instruction and improve their technique throughout the season.
We're excited for all that's ahead and can't wait to see our Hammerheads continue to grow, improve, and have fun together this summer.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Let's go Hammerheads!
Warmly,
Skye Durrer
