Congratulations!
I hope you had as much fun at yesterday’s meet as we did! The weather was beautiful and the smiles were abundant. Your flexibility with the heat sheets and food were wonderful - we truly are a team that’s able to roll with changes and show our good sportsmanship through and through. Thank you for being an amazing family!
At the end of the meet, the true measure of a swim is if you felt good about yourself and had fun. It is worth noting, however, that Hollymead came out on top last night with a score of 627 points to City’s 423. Congratulations to all swimmers for trying something new, cheering on friends and teammates, and dropping times!
New Record!
Congratulations to Nate Prochazka! His 32.59 50-breaststroke swim broke the Hollymead 13-14 boys record previously set by Kevin Sauer (33.69).
Saturday Stroke Clinic
Saturday’s focus stroke is butterfly. These clinics are optional but can be very helpful in improving skills with small group instruction. RSVPs are required for the clinic - Visit HollymeadHammerheads.Swimtopia.com>Events and save your spot for the appropriate age group slot. 11&over, 8:30am; 10&under, 9:30am. $5 cash per swimmer at the door. RSVP deadline is noon Friday.
Wednesday’s Meet: at acac
Our next meet is Wednesday at acac. PLEASE PLEASE declare whether your swimmer available to attend by NOON FRIDAY. Coaches need to know a yes/no for meet entry purposes. Meet Volunteers
You’ve seen how complex meets are - all this is due to volunteers. Please sign up to help at both every home and away meet in which your child swims. Evening Practices
We do not have unlimited water or coaching space at evening practices. Only swimmers with prior written approval directly from Coach Helen should attend an evening practice.
Team Photo
Mark your calendar! We will take a full Hammerhead team photo on Thursday, July 2 at 9:30am. This is a fun day; we’re scheduling it between swim sessions and before donuts and fruit. Come dressed in your team suit and shirt!
